Who we are
This website is published by WIDES, the World Interventional & Dry Eye Society, an international medical society dedicated to advancing the clinical practice of Interventional Dry Eye. Questions about this policy can be sent to the address listed at the bottom of this page.
What we collect
This website is a static publication. It contains no contact form, no user account, no comment section and no e-commerce function. We do not ask you for personal information, and none is collected, stored or processed when you browse these pages.
No cookie is placed on your device by this website. No advertising, tracking or profiling technology is used.
Server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested: the IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser used. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting purposes, are not used to identify individuals, and are retained by the host for a limited period.
Contacting us by email
If you choose to write to us, your message and your email address reach our mailbox and are kept only for as long as needed to answer you and to maintain a record of our professional correspondence. We do not add correspondents to any mailing list, and we do not share their details with third parties.

Some pages link to scientific publications, professional organisations and manufacturer resources hosted on other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, over which we have no control.
Your rights
Under the European General Data Protection Regulation, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of any personal data we hold about you, and you may object to its processing. Since this site collects nothing automatically, such a request would in practice concern email correspondence only. Write to us and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Should this website ever add a contact form, an audience measurement tool or a members area, this policy will be updated beforehand and the change will be reflected in the date below.
